Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

If you are concerned about withdrawal please do see a doctor and be honest about how much you have been drinking as it can be dangerous to go it alone, especially if you have no-one to keep an eye on how you are faring.
I hope you feel better soon.

Keep your options open and pay attention to how you are feeling so if you start feeling worse you can get medical help.
Keep drinking water. Gator aid is good, or other drinks with electrolytes. So are foods high in potassium, like bananas.
Might want to listen to music or find something to help keep your mind calm. Feeling agitated is a common symptom of withdrawal as well as the shakiness and feeling like you have the flu.
I am not a medical professional --- you are best off getting medical help.
I don't know where you live but if you get any DT's/ symptoms go to the ER.
In the meantime, green tea with honey. Water with lemon. Gatorade.
Eat. Even if its just toast.
Don't drink coffee or soda or other things that might dehydrate.
Sleep if you can. call friends, tell family.
The thing is that I could quit at anytime it was just that I couldnt stay quit... I found that this site was great. So great that I took the advice and found a room of alcoholics. I was so scared but they were just like me. That was over a year ago.
Its not easy but I have a group of friends that I can count on and they, along with a HP , help me to arrest the disease that I have for the day.
The bottom line is that I needed to be Humbled. I thought I was the end all , be all. AND I WAS A RAGING ALCOHOLIC FOR 20 YEARS. Then by asking for help and being hollow and willing to change, I have put together a plan to stay sober.
You can too.
keep the faith,

You have to eat high in protein foods, red meat, lot of pasta, meals heavy in calories will start making you feel better. I know this is hard to believe but its true. You have to stop the 3 beers as you are just putting off the reaction. It will be hell for about three days until the booze is totally out of your system and a week of emotional distress but after that your free of it. Be aware, if you ever pick up again you will find yourself back to where you were at your worst, this sucks,no amount of time repairs the damage.
Lastly GET YOUR ASS TO A A.A. MEETING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For we have all been where you are right now. Eric
