Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

My partner said it took him awhile for him to feel better and that part of it was the sugar in the alcohol; it messes with your system. So you're also in withdrawl from sugar. Maybe tending to diet/exercise can help.
Just keep going, getting off the BP meds and losing weight is great!
Wishing you the best.
Congratulations on 37 days - that is a great achievement and something to be proud about.
As for the tiredness, the best person to answer your question is your doctor. Maybe you need to get a full medical check-up in case there is some problem that needs treatment or maybe you just need reassurance that everything is fine.
Either way, tired is better than an early death any day and many practising alcoholics end up with the latter outcome.
On fatigue -- I was SO tired the first 90 days or so. it got better with time. What I realized, when I got sober, has been that I'm NOT a night person. I stayed up to get wasted, but really, I'm much happier soberly in bed by 930 PM and asleep by 10 or so. I'm up without an alarm most days by 545 AM so there we have it.
Anyway the first few months were exhausting for me too. I don't know how much of that was battling my own mind and insanity in early sobriety, and how much was my body just going back to "normal" healthy sleep patterns. Either way it passes but many people I've talked to experience the same in early sobrtiety.
