Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

I found more important information on this site just poking around the last two days (before I joined today) than I was provided by all the doctors I have seen over the last year.
This is a great forum for asking questions and getting good advice from people that have been in your shoes.
Glad to hear you drove past the liquor store and didn't stop, I struggle with it every day as well. Try walking and what I find is if you keep your stomach full with water, salad, fruit, nuts...basically things that are not only good for you, but take up space, in my case, I am less apt to make that stop.
Best of luck and stay strong.

Dealing with urges are difficult. I and some others have found this way of getting through them helpful.
