Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

I also find that I need to be improving myself, I need to be moving forward. I have been on youtube lately and listening to some motivational vids. It gets me pumed up and in action instead of just laying in wait for the world to eat me up.
I found that writing down all the negative things that happened to me in drinking was a great help for when I was 3 weeks along and feeling better and thinking of going back. I would read this list of nightmares and remember
Keep on the sober path

Keep persevering Nicky. Just one day at a time. When I was in my first year, I would think about the future or mire myself in the past. The outcome if I tried to predict the future was always negative. Alcoholism is a disease of negativity.
It became easier for me when the urges would hit if I just said to myself "I don't have to drink today". Hugs, Dianna
This is just for now. I know what you mean!!!!! I've not Mother's Day Out with my friend cause of all the drinking! They think I'm not drinking cause I'm training fir a race.
