Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
I got sober in AA and that's where I learned it's more an issue of loss of control rather than when, where, what or how much I drank.
When I started to drink I couldn't stop - a sign I might be alcoholic. When I made a vow I wouldn't drink again I couldn't keep it long term - a sign that I might be alcoholic!
Reading your story, it seems like alcohol is mentally haunting you.
If you want to quit, set a date and TRY to stick with it. Easier said than done, I know. Make a plan with your counselor. You will feel much better mentally and your body will thank you...
