I have never been a daily drinker, just a stress drinker. It is not good, I have no access to a therapist or doctor in this small community, so I am on my own, and feel I will do fine.
Always a closet drinker, I have no one to talk to except hubby.

Welcome I hope you find thew support you are looking here for. If you think you have a drinking problem. You have taken the first step in the right direction. I would also suggest looking for an AA meeting some where around where you live. You can find a lot of support in the meetings. Also a lot of people like yourself. I believe it is up to the individual to decide if they have a problem with alcohol. You have taken the hardest first step. Asking for help. Good luck. Stress drinker eh? Me too-and every moment gradually became stressful for me when I wasn't drinking. Bad road.

Welcome! I hope this group helps you find your way forward. As an alcoholic I found the worst part of my drinking was an inability to control how much I drank once I started and I couldn't stay stopped long term when I swore off. That was more problematic than how often I drank.

I finally found my solution through AA.
