Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
Welcome and ood on you for looking for help. If you can not drink again, that is probably a good idea. Check out the stories on the site and if you cannot stop on your own, you need to get help...
Hugs,
Dennis

Nip it in the bud. As people have said above, read lots of the posts and what people go through.

You need support. Being a teen is tough business. Have you heard of alateen? It is a support group for teens just like you.
You say you do not want to talk to your parents. Is there any trusted adult you can talk to-like a school counselor, teacher, aunt, etc?
Please, do not go out to these parties with the intention of drinking. Boys/men prey on girls like you who get wasted. It is horrific.
Be safe. I want you to stay alive so you can get through this. xo

I have certainly had nights that you describe in my 30's and they sure are hell when you wake up the next morning!
All I know is, I couldn't do any of this alone. I needed to get honest with someone. Is there anyone you can confide all this in who would be able to help you?
I think CM above has it spot on with alateen. There you will find like minded people who will able to help you and it seems like that is what you need at the moment.
Give the line a call and go from there. We are a friendly bunch :)
Only you can tell if you are an alcoholic. Like Denny says, check out the stories here. If you can't stop on your own, then maybe a guidance counselor or social worker from school could help you talk to your parents and get some help. With summer coming up and school being out, it would be the ideal time to get sober and stay sober.
You are so young and have so much life ahead of you. My daughter was your age when she started drinking and drugging. She was able to face it and stop on her own. And today she has a wonderful life. Please think of all you have to look forward to.
I know i sound like a mom, can't help that. I'm not trying to preach, just want you to know how dangerous the water you are treading in is.
Please take care,
Hugs,
Karen
Thank you for your honesty. I really understand what you mean when you say you want to stop but you got drunk.
You know -- that's the most important thing I was finally able to say when i started my journey of recovery ... "I want to stop drinking, but I can't!"
Something that I remind myself that might be useful to you ... alcohol is not necessary. We are told it is normal to drink. We tell ourselves that we have to have it. We see it all around us. I forget that I do not need to have alcohol -- it's not part of a healthy breakfast! It is not like air, water and human contact. And, yet, there were times that I would have given up everything for just one more drink.
Fortunately, not today!
I wish you the best! I hope you find the help you need! Admitting that you have a problem is the first step towards getting real help.

Please do something about the drinking now while you still have a chance. Others have given you good advice and I cant add much to that but I would like to tell you a little bit about what alcohol will do to you if you continue to drink. You seem to be smart and intelligent so hopefully you will make the right decisions.
Alcohol will damage many parts of your body but especially the liver but you probably know that already. You may or may not be an alcoholic and there is a good chance that you are not - yet. Many people start off as you are doing now, drinking heavily a lot of the time or just occasionally. Friends will keep telling them that they are drinking too much; they will be suffering mentally and physically but cannot always see it; they will do embarrassing things while drunk; they will maintain that drinking is not doing them any harm and such a person will often be insulted if called an alcoholic. Some of these people will cut down on their drinking or stop altogether, and some will not. Of those who keep drinking, a good number will become true alcoholics after a while.
You have your whole life ahead and it can be full of happy times and good things. It can also be miserable; full of fear and anger; unfulfilled and a terrible waste of talent. That is why I would urge you to seek help from an adult now. Even if you are not an alcoholic, and I hope you are not, call All-Teen and they will be able to advice you. Dont put it off until tomorrow or next week - do it as soon as possible. No matter how good your boyfriend is to you, he will not have enough experience to help you with this.
