Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
I have a set of prayers that I have collected and put into a scrapbook -- when I am stuck on the train I will take it out from time to time. There is also a book that was compiled by some abbot of a monastery where the monks did a lot of traveling. They needed to remember their prayers ... voila!
Abyhoo -- the more I make it a daily thing, the better I do.
I used to think I had to be a Christian to pray but that proved untrue, I eventually found God through seeking and willingness. He had always been there, I didn't have to look hard to find Him!
I also believe that prayer comes in the form of helping others, holding a hand or doing a good work, is in itself a prayer of thanksgiving that I am able to do so. And to do it sober!
