Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

I celebrated my first AA birthday on the 19th April and thought I better check in with all of you! It's been a crazy year with the same amount of good days and bad days as anyone else really.
I have to recommend to any still suffering alcoholics out there that after at least 10 attempts to quit drink that the one and only thing that got me sober and kept me sober was A.A. It was the scariest thing walking through those doors the first time but I got so much love and support. They recommend that people do 90 meetings in 90 days or as many as possible in the beginning. If you do those 90 meetings and you're still not happy you're free to try it your way again, no one will ever force you:)

I accidentally deleted a journal entry that I wish I hadn't. Is there any way to get it back?

Instead of going to work I slept in until 11 am Now I'm treating myself at McAllister's to a Spud Max. When I go back tomorrow it will be Friday!

Thankyou for sharing how you got sober. You may have helped someone today!
God Bless
One year is impressive. Your description of your first meeting was similar to mine. I had massive fear but that fear turned into nothing but desire to be around those people. I wanted what they had.
Kudos to you. Come around more often!
That's much to be proud of for, and we are:)
