Results are in and it's not good. Apparently her regular mammograms missed cancer and it has metastaticized. She has spots on her lungs, liver spleen, her bone marrow is permeated with cancer cells as well as the outside of the bone. Without treatment she has "months". If she accepts treatment she could have 1-3 years. She watched my dad go this way and says she will refuse. I am praying for God to give her strength and for myself to gain the strength to accept what is over what I want. She will be 78 Feb. 20th

She said not to worry... it is what it is. I love my mom y'all.

Sorry to hear about the poor prognosis. Prayers to you both.

I participate in a cancer walk in a few months -- what is her first name (if you don't mind my asking). I'd like to light a candle for her.

Sorry to hear this also. My Mom had lung cancer and she had a partial part of her lung removed. After that I really believed she fought to live and she lived about 6 yrs. Doctors can only guess how long one has. They told my Dad who also had lung cancer, brain tumor, and stroke that he would never walk again, well he was determined to walk and he did. Had to use a cain tho but he walked. My prayers are with you.

So sorry to hear this. I went through a similar situation with my mom and now my mother in lawe has cancer at 86. It's tough. Sounds like your mom has a good attitude about it though. My prayers are with you.
