People come and go here. Since I've been here there have been quite a few people who got sober and now only come by occasionally to say hi. Why? Because they are off living their lives and no longer need the support. Maybe this group will get busy again, maybe not.

But if you think this site is like a bad joke, then just go elsewhere.

Funny, I used to visit this site fairly regularly. Didn't always post, but got something from reading. Somehow I couldn't find my password, and had also changed my email address around the same time a couple of months ago. Finally gave up today and reregistered. Some of you may remember me as LarryDarrelnDarrel.
I don't think of this site as a joke, and have usually found useful comments.

I actually did also find SOME of the information on the Orange Papers site to be helpful (like the part that explains how the "lizard brain" tries to control you (your conscious brain).

I have found the Orange Papers to have some helpful information. I do not believe everthing that Agent Orange put in there, but I believe most of it is true. I made reference to it on the main boards and was judged immediately for it.
I think if Agent Orange was not so seething in his tirade against AA more people in that program would be open to reading them. As it is Orange's tone in the papers turns off a lot of people in AA and so they rush to make that sometimes fatal mistake of contempt prior to investigation. Perhaps he chose to seeth so those whom the 12-steps failed would immediately identify when reading them for the first time.
