Agoraphobia & Social Anxiety Support Group
Agoraphobia is an anxiety disorder, often precipitated by the fear of having a panic attack in a setting from which there is no easy means of escape. As a result, sufferers of agoraphobia may avoid public and/or unfamiliar places. In severe cases, the sufferer may become confined to their home, experiencing difficulty traveling from this "safe place."
I can relate, I gradually dropped out of working full time and now I own my own business because I can't deal with working with others. My husband is the breadwinner and I feel guilty, and I feel judged by others at times. My business is very part-time and not too lucrative right now. I think, understanding that we have certain sensitivities that others don't have to deal with can remind us that we tried our best to work full time. I know I really tried and I'm sure you did too. Maybe you could find an alternative way to work. Working at home is easier to do nowadays. Or, maybe you could take out a loan and get your own franchise or open a business? Good Luck, and I hear ya.
