Agoraphobia & Social Anxiety Support Group
Agoraphobia is an anxiety disorder, often precipitated by the fear of having a panic attack in a setting from which there is no easy means of escape. As a result, sufferers of agoraphobia may avoid public and/or unfamiliar places. In severe cases, the sufferer may become confined to their home, experiencing difficulty traveling from this "safe place."
The best thing to do is just chalk everything up to periomenopause and don't worry about it--that alone will make you feel better. If you really are concerned about a particular symptom, then see the gyno and let them check you out.
I've dealt with agoraphobia for a very long time, it got quite a bit better with medication a few years ago but now, these last 6 months or so, it seems that things are getting worse with no end in sight. It's almost like I'm not taking meds anymore!
I am trying to make sense out of things, don't really care if it is hormonal or agrophobia related, just want to have an acceptable day and those seem far and few between lately.
