Agoraphobia & Social Anxiety Support Group
Agoraphobia is an anxiety disorder, often precipitated by the fear of having a panic attack in a setting from which there is no easy means of escape. As a result, sufferers of agoraphobia may avoid public and/or unfamiliar places. In severe cases, the sufferer may become confined to their home, experiencing difficulty traveling from this "safe place."
Have you tried incrementally adding tasks to your daily list? Maybe if you work your way into it gradually it wont be as stressful.
Right now the most I can handle is cleaning my apartment. Taking the garbage out is something I sometimes can't even handle. It's so frustrating!
Even fun things feel like work sometimes if it's happening fast enough.
What I've tried is this: take a few deep breaths and give yourself a certain amount of time to accomplish something. If you can't get it done then shrug and say 'fine, whatever. I did my best with this 'assignment'. I'll get to it later after I get the majority of this other work done' and then come back to it when there's time.
Even without panic/anxiety/fear of driving...I don't think I would take my 21 month old all over just to fit in. No helicopter Mom here. My pediatrician agreed the 1st two years he is just fine at home, visiting grandparents and cousins and having outings with us.
I sure do long for the old days when NOTHING stopped me!
I married a wonderful guy and we have raised two children who both finished college (neither of us did that) and I am an empty nester.
Seems like Feast or Famin for sure. It is really lonely and I think that contributes to my recent set back.
I have hope I will be better soon!

I get nervous and then I have a anxiety attack.
I try my best no to let it show.
i'm the total opposite, so i feel very awkward when he asks me what i've been doing, and i have little if anything to say.
you just have to realize that people are at different levels. i wasn't always at the level i'm at now, and i won't be always at the level i'm at now. in other words i've had times when i did a lot every day...but i'm not doing that now, but i will eventually if things continue to go well!
you can do it!
