Agoraphobia & Social Anxiety Support Group
Agoraphobia is an anxiety disorder, often precipitated by the fear of having a panic attack in a setting from which there is no easy means of escape. As a result, sufferers of agoraphobia may avoid public and/or unfamiliar places. In severe cases, the sufferer may become confined to their home, experiencing difficulty traveling from this "safe place."
First, I would just like to say that Chemistry is hard, and struggling in that subject is something most people can relate to! Having anxiety on top of that sounds awful. Is there anything that helps ease your anxiety? I hope that therapy will help you. It might not seem to at first, but like most things, it takes time. Unfortunately, there's really no quick fix for anxiety.
Hang in there. It'll get better, and eventually you'll be done with that class! Something to look forward to.
