Agoraphobia & Social Anxiety Support Group
Agoraphobia is an anxiety disorder, often precipitated by the fear of having a panic attack in a setting from which there is no easy means of escape. As a result, sufferers of agoraphobia may avoid public and/or unfamiliar places. In severe cases, the sufferer may become confined to their home, experiencing difficulty traveling from this "safe place."
I like what your saying about trying not to project & taking it minute by minute. I hope your proud of yourself. Takes courage !
I have been agoraphobic since my mid teens.I just started confronting my fears five years ago. Its not easy, but I am doing what you are, breaking it down into smaller goals and steps and practicing meditating to keep calm.I have found that my fear is much worse in my head than in reality, but that still doesn't make getting out easier for me. I just keep at it,day by day.
So good luck sobe,I am rooting for you!
Trying to stay in the moment! Taking this whole thing one step at a time
I hope you get it and it goes well for you.
I did go to the interview, I was properly medicated, lol, so was able to sit there and answer all the questions. I interviewed with two supervisors, one at a time so the whole thing took about an hour.
I'm now bushed, completely drained, but am feeling pretty proud of myself.
They will be interviewing a few more people and will make their decision sometime next week or the week after so I get to work on staying in the moment again.
I applied to one job and got it but because of my SAD and depression decided to opt out until I'm back on campus to get a job there.
