Agoraphobia & Social Anxiety Support Group
Agoraphobia is an anxiety disorder, often precipitated by the fear of having a panic attack in a setting from which there is no easy means of escape. As a result, sufferers of agoraphobia may avoid public and/or unfamiliar places. In severe cases, the sufferer may become confined to their home, experiencing difficulty traveling from this "safe place."
I have mixed emotions about that.....almost impossible to find someone who understands us.
But yeah...I'd so welcome another agoraphobic into my life.....at some point.....just not now.....I have too many issues yet.
But I wish you luck karanhere. :)
Anxiety is difficult for people not suffering from the disorder to understand. This makes dating (or befriending) others with anxiety a plus because you can sympathize and support each other.
On the other hand two people with the same or similar disorders could be a recipe for disaster. It could lead to a misery-fest where both individuals enforce each other's fears or or worries. By contrast, an emotionally healthy partner may have the opposite effect.
I'm looking high-level here of course and there is not right or wrong answer. Like any relationship it always depends on a lot of unquantifiable factors.
I'm not sure I am ready to deal with any other kind of relationship right now....but I could use more friends...always could use more of those.
And yeah...my hat is off to you too, karanhere!!
Thanks for you appreciation.
Yea its for those people also who are looking for friends because you never know when friendship takes a turn and converts into love.
Thanks to Goldfish too.
