Yes, taking some time to read and think about other people's posts really helps me to be "less confrontational", less easily offended, and (hopefully) more edifying. Afterward, I often sense the Lord urging me to "let it go". "Don't muddy up the waters". I may know that I'm totally right and have many scriptures to prove it, but when my "spirit" or motivation is wrong, it's best I don't even respond. You can allegorize these: "if you live by the sword, you will die by the sword", and "food for the belly and the belly for food, but God will destroy them both." Or simply a passage about not biting or devouring one another will suffice. Gal 5:15. What I did was go to this:
