My son met with an accident last month, and his front tooth got broken. We consulted the dentist, and he suggested to go for dental implant treatment. But he is just 10 years old. Is it advisable to adopt dental implant treatment in such a minor age? I wanted to have a second opinion on this. I have a lot of confusions in my mind, and I wanted to have a clear idea about the procedure of dental implants treatment. The doctor which we had consulted earlier for my son's dental care shifted to another city. So I don't have a doctor to approach whom I can trust blindly. If you have any experience with dental implant treatment please feel free to share it with me. Also, I need to find a reputed centre for dental implants in Mississauga. Does anyone have any good recommendations? Please share your suggestions and opinions on this. It would be a great help to me.
I can't speak with authority regarding implants in a 10 y/o but he has his adult teeth in now except wisdom teeth. As he grows & over lifetime teeth shift, they will move to fill the space and your son may be unhappy with appearance and/or have bite issues. It may be better to have implants now than wait.
