My daughter is really concerned about her smile. She has a bit long nose, and her teeth are quite small. So she is getting bothered, that when she smiles it looks really odd or not. This truly affected her confidence level. She consciously stops smiling before a crowd and always keep her mouth covered with hands while smiling. I'm getting worried about my child. When I discussed this with one of my friends, she proposed a smile makeover treatment. I'm not sure whether this is appropriate for my child or not. Anyway, on my friend's suggestion, I'm planning to take her to the cosmetic dentistry in Milton for the same. But my daughter is not getting ready for this. She is too scared about visiting a dentist. Can someone help me by suggesting some advice on how to overcome this fear? Also, I would like to hear from those who went for a smile makeover. Because I desire to know whether that made a difference in your smile or not. Please share your suggestions and opinions on this. It would be a great help to me.
But since your case is different I would just tell your daughter that you are going there to see what the dentist thinks could help her feel better about smiling..All you have to do is hear what they have to say-doesn't mean anything has to be done right then and there.

You did say she has a long nose. Makes me wonder.
I would suggest finding a pediatric specialist and taking her there strictly for consult No Treatment, tell her this is simply to meet them & see if she likes them. And that you will help her visit others too till she finds someone she is comfortable with. You have to take her for regular dental care anyway, a consult visit should be a "piece of cake."
You've explained to her that she will continue to grow, her teeth will continue to shift as a part of growth, her nose will also change.
I know people who went for smile improvement and it definitely changed their lives. They were proud to smile, it boosted their self confidence.
