Morning- what about just your toothbrush-mouthwash perhaps and you might check with your dentist that you may have an infection?

Hello Ray,
I am a Dental Assistant in Ohio. Your gingiva (gums) could be swollen do to an infected tooth or irritation. The best thing to do is to go to the dentist and let him/her know. He/she will most likely give you an antibiotic or clean around the tooth to see why your gingiva (gums) are swelling.

Follow some basic tips for better oral health and gum care and prevent gum disease. Brush twice in a day, daily flossing, mouthwash, clean your tongue by tongue cleaner, visit your dentist on regular basis, drink enough water, quit smoking if you're a smoker, chew sugar free gums, avoid garlic, onion and spicy foods, have fresh fruits and veggies.
