I woke up this morning in a very wet diaper and I felt a overall sense of being safe and secure from my wet diaper. Has anyone else ever felt that?
Edwin
I’ve totally been there. Diapers help, no matter what people think about them

Usually I feel this overall sense from a fresh (dry) diaper, especially from the thick diaper I wear during the night. I’ve never paid attention if it was still the case when I wake up.

I don't think that's unusual. Bedwetting can be very stressful. To wake up and realize you might be wet, but the bed is so dry can ease that stress and embarrassment.

I would much rather wake up in a wet diaper than a wet bed. Wearing diapers at night has relieved a huge amount of stress for me. I was getting up 2-3 times per night to go to the bathroom. Now, I get a really good night;s sleep. I really like the feeling of security of a thick overnight diaper that allows me to sleep so much better now.

I too greatly appreciate my cloth diapers, its nice not having to wake up to a wet bed.

I wear diapers and plastic pants to bed every night for my bedwetting. I don't particularly like wearing protection, but it beats waking up soaked head to toe. I am 68 and been wetting nearly my whole life. Growing up I didn't wear any protection and woke up soaked from head to toe. Diapers and plastic pants in the 50's and 60's were very difficult to find. Mostly in the Sears or jc penny catalogs. Those that are my age probably could attest to this. Now a days diapers and plastic pants are more readily available.

I wet very night and use the TENA Slip Maxi all in one adult 'nappies/diapers'. They have become so much a part of normal routine that I don't normally even think about it or generally notice how wet my nappy is. But if I wake and find I have had a particularly wet night, I know exactly what you mean. I also have some day time problems and when it comes to safety and security I will always wear protection if I am travelling for any length of time - car, train, planes especially. There isn something about take off and landing that always causes me to wet. The worst thing is trying to change in a plane!

When I wake up in a wet diaper I also know it will be a good day because either I wet at night and get a good nights sleep, or I didn't wet and I get poor sleep. Getting up wakes me up too much to get back to sleep. It's like a teeter or todder, I choose a good night sleep! So yes, I feel good when I wake up wet, I feel secure and rested.

My bedwetting is hit or miss. I either wet heavily or not too much. Mostly, it's not much, just moderately wet, little or no leaks. Rarely, including last night, a flood.

I know that safe secure feeling when you wake up wet.

I soak the whole bed every night

You shouldn’t have to suffer that. What protection do you use?

I love waking up and not feeling any anxiety or worry about if i wet during the night or not!! I don't always love my diapers or the fact im still wearing them but even if i wake up wet or even soaked, i love that i don't have to rush to get up! No matter how wet my diaper is, im dry and my bed and bedding is dry. I can relax as i wake up so i understand your feeling!

I wrote a first comment one year ago. I’m still waiting to outgrow my bedwetting issues. I also feel safe and secure till the morning.

Although I wet my bed off and on as child and through my teenage years, it was as an adult after a neck injury that it really became a problem and I had to start wearing protection. I use the TENA Slip Active Fit Maxi all-in-one adult nappy style incontinence pads. Keeping it secret has been difficult but the embarrassment of wearing nappies is nothing compared to the embarrassment of a wet bed if I am staying away so I have accepted that wearing protection is less embarrassing and I have told a small number of close friends. I think the most difficult was telling my now wife when I first met her! I have used the TENA Slip products for over 30 years now as I have found them to be the best. Unfortunately, other spinal problems and operations mean that I have to wear protection 24/7 as I have no feeling that I am wetting. For me, wearing adult nappies is the only way I can manage my incontinence successfully. The biggest difference that wearing nappies made for me was giving me back my confidence to go out. Now they are just my normal underwear. I carry a small bag with a changing kit in it as I will typically go through 2 or 3 during the day. I do sometime have leaks – wetting heavily if I am sleeping on my side and when driving long distances and not realising how wet my nappy is are typical situations. Even now only a handful of friends know and the products are so good these days that I don’t think anyone ever notices that I am wearing a nappy. In the past I used to get anxious when I was NOT wearing a nappy in case I wet and wouldn't sleep well but was also a bit anxious about exacerbating the problem and relying on my nappy rather than trying to go to the loo regularly. Now it is just an everyday part of my life and I am able to get on with it. I can't remember the last time I had dry night, so yes I understand that feeling of safety and security (and confidence) that wearing protection and waking up wet can bring.

I've just been updating my profile information because I had a birthday last week, and so I'm now 25 instead of 24. It doesn't feel any different though!Just so you all know a bit about me: I suffer with anxiety and occasional panic attacks, and sometimes I do an accidental wee in bed while I'm asleep. Now I'm a year older than this time last week I can report that nothing has changed, although...

In 2013 I had an accident resulting in spinal injury at the base of my neck with paralysis from there down, spasticity (muscle contractions and spasms) and double incontinence. Both my anus and my urethra have been left closed except with manual intervention. I hardly ever pass urine via the usual route (I have a suprapubic catheter passing directly into my bladder about 2 inches below my...
