I learned that I can reuse a wet disposable diaper. I always put in 2 soak through soakers in the diaper. Diapers are expensive, I usually use Tranquility ATN but I bought an assortment of the most absorbant diapers from Northshore last week to try out what works best for me. Often the soakers are the only part that are wet like last night, but if the outter diaper is wet, for a guy, I realized that the back is typically never wet. So I learned that I can put the diaper on the next night, backwards, meaning the dry back is put on my front and the wet front of the diaper is on my bum. It's an uncomfortable feeling to put on at first, but as soon as it warms up it's ok, of course my 2 soakers are in there also. Now when I wet, the "now front" soaks and I get a double use of the outter diaper saving me $. When the outter diaper costs $1.10 per night, the dual soakers cost $.83 together, that's $1.93 per night and is expensive per night! Now I've reduced it to $1.38 per night, so a good savings per night. This is true if I soak through to the outter diaper, If I don't soak to the outter diaper for many many days, then it's $.83 per night, even lower cost per night. Hope this helps others in diaper cost savings.
