Knowing there's a chance of having multiple wet nights over the long weekend, it's got me thinking what changes in managing overnight bladder problems would help?

This only occurred to me after waking at 2am with soaked sheets, then realizing I won't be able to discreetly get up and change for 20 minutes while the ceiling fan dries off my bed like I've just done now...

Usually I'd say it's easy just to wear a nappy but I feel like someone in the room next door would hear the tapes and crinkles. Also my door doesn't lock. Perhaps something like Tena pants maxi would help yet there's still the concern of how to dispose of them in the morning without giving away any tell-tale signs that yes, I do in fact have wetting issues at night...

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Try the Molicare cloth-backed or Tranquility Smart Core diapers. They are disposables that don't crinkle like the plastic backed ones do. Removing the tapes to change is virtually silent. When I had roommates, I would use a gallon-size ziploc bag and seal the used diaper inside. Then you can stash it with no risk of smell until you can secretly dispose of it.

Thanks, that may be the only way to go about it. Luckily our bin day is at the start of the week so once they leave it'll be easy to destroy the evidence aha... I've only tried the Molicare plastic backed so I'll keep an eye out for both of those. Most pharmacies seem to have limited choice but if any leaks happen over the weekend I've got plenty of incense to cover things up.

I also prefer plastic backed diapers at nights but I have some cloth backed diapers when I have visitors (it's not everyday). Usually I don't like cloth backed because I'm a heavy wetter at night and this kind of diapers have a greater wicking ability. However, they are thicker than the cloth backed diapers I use to wear during daytime.

Know exactly what you mean! Less chance of an accident with the plastic backed but less discreet and vice versa. I ended up going cloth backed, mostly because of the limited choice. Luckily had no leaks with the two wet nights since!

Having day time issues too must be hard? Imagine it would be anyway as I only wet the bed and most of the time find it's not that big of a deal really...

I agree with SpongeBob that the plastic backed are much better for nighttime use as my favorite is the NorthShore Care Megamax, but it certainly is not discreet. Sounds like you are off to a good start though, and good luck!

Mine are quiet because I use pin on cloth with plastic pants. I know this type of diaper is not typical today but I have much more success with keeping dry and discreet. Of course they do need to be laundered.
