Adrenal Fatigue Support Community Group
We are a support group for individuals who have been diagnosed with (or suspect that they have) Adrenal Fatigue. Adrenal Fatigue lies somewhere between Addison's and Cushing's and is very underdiagnosed. We hope to provide support and education on treatment for this illness.
Hoping to revive this group. Stage 2 adrenal fatigue here, with low cortisol and positive Epstein Barr virus. Not able to work even part time for over 7 months now. Hopeful because I was feeling a lot better about 6 weeks ago - every time I started walking more and increasing activity it seems I would crash again and go back to just being able to dress, shower, cook and go to the store, that kind of thing. Finally am sleeping better though! This is huge. I am also starting to take my gut health way more seriously, and eating an anti-viral diet with foods higher than lysine than arginine to help the Epstein Barr virus go inactive. I take only Garden of Life supplements, vit d, started on reishi mushroom tea and lemonbalm tea at night, zinc, selenium, eating liver once every 2 weeks, raw milk, whole food diet, avoiding chocolate (most of the time - not even craving it right now), and no caffeine. I was taking sleep aides here and there, and some pain killers like tramodol 25 mg and hydrocodone. I have stopped that, they may not have been helping the situation from some reading I have done on them. I also started olive leaf extract and oragano oil p73 for epstein barr, but after 3 days of a regular dose, had to back off due to the fact that they are hard on they system - I need to go slow with every new thing, I know that is key. Both of these kill virus but also good bacteria and bad bacteria - so I upped my probiotics and backed off for a few days. It is important not to stress the adrenals while killing the virus - so I am in a pickle but am hopeful. I do not have insurance so have to pay cash at doctor. I went to a naturopath initially and that is how I got the information about what is going on in my body - but she was not much help unfortunately.
