Adrenal Fatigue Support Community Group
We are a support group for individuals who have been diagnosed with (or suspect that they have) Adrenal Fatigue. Adrenal Fatigue lies somewhere between Addison's and Cushing's and is very underdiagnosed. We hope to provide support and education on treatment for this illness.

Hi all,
I just found this group and am soo happy that I did. I few months ago I did a saliva test for my adrenal functioning. My cortisol was very low. For the morning, noon, afternoon, and midnight either it was one or less than one. When I went to my endocrinologist, they check my blood cortisol which came back normal. My ND did some research and found that the saliva tests the cortisol that is available for use in the tissues and the blood was total. From what I understood from her is my body is making cortisol, however, it is bound to something and my body is not able to use it.
Once I started on Isocort I noticed a huge difference. I felt like I was actually among the living again. If I miss a dose I start feeling bad again. (anxiety, can't sleep, always feel like I am on a roller coaster, too tired to do anything, nasueas...) Something else I also noticed is that I have to walk every morning in order to function. It is not just it is good, I have to. I am also finding out that in the afternoon, I am needing to exercise again. I never feel that I can exercise, but once I do I find that I can do other things in life besides sit, sit, sit.
Does anyone else have this???
Oh yeah, I forgot. The doctor tried me on hydrocortizone. after two days on it I couldn't do anything once again. It did not do anything for me at all. so I went back to the Isocort.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
