does anyone ask themselves 'why didn't my birth mother just choose abortion?"
It seems for the world this would have been the better option. I'm 52 years ols, adopted at birth and feel utterly alone even though I was lucky with the family that adopted me...but no one understands how when you were hated so much at birth your own mother didn't want to have anything to do with you that it's hard to see the value in yourself.
Other people cannot understand this, they just look at me as if there is something wrong with me and they are right...I do not belong anywhere, the earth, society and even my own family has no place for me.
I think I will start every prayer with "dear lord, I am ready to come home now"

You said you were lucky with the family that adopted you. Were you not loved by them?
I have a son that I adopted from birth, and I thank God everyday for this blessing. I also know that his birth mother was the bravest most wonderful girl for thinking of his future and not getting an abortion. I could not think of a world without him.
We touch so many lives even though we think we are lost. We are all a part of the body and the body is not whole without one of its parts. You are a part of that body.
You are beautiful and precious in Gods eye.
I know I feel alone and despiration sometimes slips in, but I know that I want to enjoy my journey to the other side when my time comes.

While I will never know the pain that you feel about being given up at birth, I would encourage you to talk to someone who deals with this on a regular basis. Maybe it has to do with whatever event caused your PTSD? Or have you always felt tghis way?
