Thats great that they are doing that. I was adopted at age 6 along with my brother who was 4 at the time. As for your brother in-law depending on where you are some states or even provinces (i'm from canada) will have a "cut off " age due to health risk and the parent not being around for the child. that's the adoption workers feelings. the way i personally look at it is f the parent's are both committed to raising that child it shouldn't matter how old the are as long as they are able to attend to the everyday needs of a child, the health of the couple including the older one would matter as you would want to be around for as long as possible for your children. now depending on what type of situation your sister and her husband are looking for the "wait" time for a baby can vary from state to state province to province. siblings usually get a "push" to get adopted as well as children with a variety of disabilities. once your sister and her hubby decided what type of child they are looking for then it will be easier for agencies to help them or if they go private if they do that please make sure they have a lawyer to help them walk through that.

I don't know how willing your sister would be nore do I complelty know the whole situation however my husband and I have had 3 losses ( well 2 of them were froma previouse relationship will tell more if you want to know more private message me) and haven't been able to get pregnant since 2007 so we've looked into surrogacy. Yes some people frown upon it however it is another way to let people have children.
