I've been meaning to join this group for years. I have Adult ADHD. I was diagnosed in 2008,
I am on 50mg Vyvanse, and I am having some very bad rebounding when the medication wears off. It isn't any worse than when I was on focaline, but work and family stress seem to be making it a lot harder to come off of my medication at 6pm. REALLY HARD on the family.
I am going to the Doctor in 2 days, what can she do for me? Is there anything I can take at 6pm that will get me to sleep and keep me from turning into Mr. Hyde??? It feels like a panic attack every night and my anxiety and foul mood continue, then I can't sleep.

That being said, it is nice to have an adults point of view on this subject. It's not that I don't believe my daughter about what she is describing her medication but I just don't think she has the words to know what is going on. I could tell there was an awful "come down" period every night when she was on Vyvanse. Hearing you describe it makes me know a little more about what she was going through so thank you :)
You know that part of the horror movie, when all of the music is leading up to a climax and the victim is walking down a dark hallway? That is what it feels like. So it makes you really angry or depressed to be feeling that way, especially night after night after night.
I don't know how I made it through my childhood without medication. My life is 200% better when I'm on it, but 200% worse when I come off of it!
