I don't know if this has to do with my ADHD/ADD, or something else, but for the past 8 years, I've been having these random twitches. Also, I have been taking Adderall since I was in 1st or 2nd grade. I am a junior in high school now. I have felt like the Adderall hasn't been working for me since freshman year, and I've told my doctor that. But all they want to do is keep upping the dosage, according to my doctor, I am now taking the highest dosage, and they want me to take a booster during lunch. They blame my Adderall for my lack of appetite and my inability to sleep. I believe that I may actually have insomnia. But they don't seem to listen.
The real issue is that these drugs each affect the brain chemistry of people in different ways and doctors prescribe Adderall or any other medication as if they don't have certain side effects for certain people. my doctor prescribed me Adderall when I was in 4th or 5th grade and by the time I was getting ready to go to high school my Adderall addiction(which began because of my doctors prescription) had gotten to the point that i wanted to end it all.
To conclude, open up to another doctor and discover the medication that best suits you so that you can live a normal life and actually eat lunch with someone instead of just insisting that you're not hungry, or so that you can fall asleep at a reasonable hour and not have trouble falling or staying asleep.
