I am .... (fill in the blank when I have the right word)! I moved to Texas for family, job and education. I applied for a job back in October, two months before I moved here. It is a great job, one I would soooooooo LOVE. But I have been in Texas with my Aunt, Uncle and two cousins and four second cousins. The one with ADHD has just fallen in love with me like I am the father he never had. We all have become so close in such a short amount of time. The job would mean being away for up to two weeks and back home 4 or more days. I so want the job, but I dont want to leave the family. $%)#&%)&%)(&%)@%&)!@%&!)@%&!)&$)~$&)%&)%&)%^%^)(&)%&)^&()!@! (Sorry about the cussing) I am still recovering from depression. The job I have now is only part time and doesnt pay enough anyway. But I dont want to uproot again. But I want a better job and it just doesnt exist here. Does anyone have any advice.

Sounds like you need to take the job. Period.
If you only work part time, and this other job is one you would LOVE, then you have your future to consider.
The thing is, you can talk on the phone with this sweet little guy, AND you can 'email' each other if he has a computer. That will help him, too..
It's sounds cold, but really it's not.
One of the harsh realities of life is people coming & going in our lives.
You can discuss this with this young child. Try to include him in the 'decision making' --
Good Job opportunities in this country aren't as plentiful as they once were,especially one that has good benefits, too..
It's a decision you would probably regret later on.
You CAN look at this time in another way -- at least you had a chance to spend time with your family and establish a close relationship with this little boy.
Technolgy has REALLY changed things .....
