So I started taking guanfacine almost two weeks ago. I was warned that I might be a little light headed when I stood up and I was. Not bad at first. I took my blood pressure a couple times to make sure it wasn't low and it's not. I stepped up my dose as prescribed and it got worse. I lost almost all consciousness and lost ability to move. Now when I stand up I'm very dizzy and almost loose consciousness. I really like the med. It's helping my executive dysfunction a lot but I can't stand the side effects. My doctor isn't answering me. Does this go away? Has anybody else had this happen?
I've been married for 34 years and the last decade has been the toughest by far. I love my husband, but not sure I am in love with him anymore. I'm tired of the hidden drinking. For the first time in all these years, he admitted a few weeks ago that he had a problem. We rarely talk about his drinking. His father died at 70 because of drinking. I told him I wasn't going to be his mom...
Does anyone else have a husband or spouse that's been drinking so so long that their to the point they can't even remember what they said or done 5 minutes ago? Do you have to tell them several times what you just told them 5 minutes ago? Am I the only one? One of many issues we have to deal with.
