Here is my personal experience. I was over 50 when I was diagnosed with adult ADD. I was so bad that I really thought I needed to be committed. I smoked pot and it helped me to calm down and kind of focus on reality. I got on stimulant medication which was what I needed to get the add under control, but I had absolutely no motivation whatsoever without the pot. The meds have the exact opposite effect on me. Stimulants to slow down, marijuana to get motivated. So, marijuana is a necessary medication which works for me. I can't say anything as to how it affects you, but if you have the same reactions from medications as I do, then there is nothing wrong with it.

Marijuana also helps me with pain issues. I have 3 major surgeries scheduled for the end of this year (back and foot) and the pot helps me to manage my pain. I cannot take any of the narcotic pain relievers so it's a real help to ease some of the physical pain I have.
