i used to write an essay and every few lines do a serch on google or talk on fb, or write a different story.. i could never concentrate and it wwas out of my control when a person chooses to do 100 things at once its okay.... when that ability is gone its a disability and it needs to be medicated. as a 2yr old i was unable to sit and watch tv. it took the doctors 16 yrs to medicate me and i regret this. all becuase i couldnt tell them what wsas wrong before....
Normal people become more hyper when taking a stimulant, we calm down instead because it activates the part of our brain which gives us control. The opposite is true too. Once I was taking a medication for my sinuses that had the side effect of making people drowsy. Instead it made me agitated.
Maybe now we are the trendsetters. The rest of the world wants to be like us. We are creative and imaginative.
Though I see what you are saying, please don't minimize the devastating impact that this problem can have.
Fidgeting with a cell phone and multi-tasking are behaviors. If someone truly has ADD, it usually causes interference with daily functioning, friendships and relationships.
If you don't have this problem thank your lucky stars
under stress all humans can have light symptoms of anything incl ADHD. some have back pain for a few days, some have it for years. two very diff situations.
two points imp here:
1- for something to be a disease it has to be chronic happens 24/7 with severity varying on the environment.
2- severity is key... you can have hypertension and take a pill and live 30 years more. if you have very high of the same who could die in a few hours....
So Bobby like most people out there you are far from the horrible reality of severe...... you are mixing multi-tasking with a disease.
dude try something else..... you are lightyears away from reality.
not worth the trip... the 50 searches thing dont think so
I find it helpful to do a lot of reading about ADHD. Its intensely interesting for about two or three weeks, then I am bored with it for two or three months, then I start all over again. Goes with the condition I guess.
