Wow, that is crazy! I have both an Endo. and a GP and have for a long time. When something comes up with my health, even something like a sinus infection, it impacts my Addison's and diabetes. My GP always asks me to contact my Endo. just in case because these issues are just so complex, it is hard for even a good Endo.!!

That's good news! I had an endo for about 15 years, but he signed me off about 7 years ago. No problems since then.

I never had an endo. Just an internist who was my GP. But I recently did see a endo after having AD for 39 years!! He said I was doing fantastic. Keep it up!! I only use natural products like licorice root instead of cortisone because it is a natural cortisone, etc. If my GP thinks I need help with anything she sends me wherever it will help me. The endo visit was just a check up to make sure everything was fine and to satisfy a lawyer who insisted that some things were because of AD when they were not.
Be happy that you no longer need to see the endo and enjoy life.

I too do not have an Endo.Specialist and haven't had one for years. I have to take my five pills of steroids am/pm, and only increase it when I am in crisis...asthma flareups, colds, bronchitis, post-op surgical problems with a 2 1/2yr old ileostomy site, and similiar situations. I see my Internist for every thing else; he then directs me to specialists I need.

I don't know if i'd be happy without access to an endo. As long as you're stable it's not an issue, but if you develop problems it's sometimes useful to have access to a specialist for difficult questions. I see an endo every 6 months, although I'm still stabilizing from some issues 2 years ago. if your GP is internal medicine it may be sufficient he treat you and consult an endo when needed. I think it boils down to what you're comfortable with and what is best for your health.

Hi, Find another Endo. If she doesn't want the work, then don't give her the business. I see my Endo yearly now and she makes sure I am on the right track. It took over 8 years and me almost dying for my GP to find what was wrong with me (individual symptoms were explainable by something else). I was also offered to be followed by an Internist at the hospital as well.

thank you for your responses, I talked to my GP this week and she does not like the fact that my ENDO doesn't want to see me anymore. My GP said that she will see me and look after me but she would like once a year to see the specialist to make sure everything is on the right track, I was happy with that decision she made. She also said if my endo doesn't want me back, there are plenty more that will. I think I finally have a doctor on my side.. That makes me happy!

I am very interested to hear more. You say you used all natural stuff for your AD. Can you send any info on the things you use. I am very keen to try this out. Its amazing that you do this all on Natural substances. I am very open to new suggestions.
