I know high renin, means floudro but, what does high
renin do to us, what if any symptoms do we get. Reason I want to know is mine is record high, and that;s because I made rightly or wrongly stopped taking...the floudro .sick of the weight gain, 14lbs in 10 ,months, now back to 10stone 4 I gym twice a week and can do really flexible stretches ie the splits, but, have agreed to go back on it and see my endo in four months.

High Renin is when your sodium levels and Aldosterone are too low. Renin is supposed to make your adrenals produce Aldosterone so that your body will retain salt and excrete potassium.
It's your body's way to keep your blood pressure up and stop you from fainting or going into shock all the time. You really stopped taking it?! Isn't your blood pressure too low without it? I missed a day last week and when I stood up, the world went black! I was all shaky and dizzy and had to eat something salty really fast to feel better. Then I remembered I forgot my Fludro LOL!
Do you have a blood pressure cuff to check yours? Be careful if you get down in the 90's. That's getting into the danger zone and you can keel over when you stand up ( without Florinef).
