Addison's disease (also known as chronic adrenal insufficiency, or hypocortisolism) is a rare endocrine disorder. It is estimated that it affects about 1 to 2 in 100,000 people. It occurs when the adrenal glands, seated above the kidneys, fail to produce enough of the hormone cortisol and, sometimes, the hormone aldosterone
Apart from the above, I would like to ask if any fellow Addison friend, is sometimes waking up, as I can only describe as Body is Dead cant move not even to reach tablets, just opening your eyes is hard work, feels like your in a paralyzed body, and your quite happy just to drift off,again and again, haven't done anything unusual, taking usual 15 5 5 . I know Christmas was hectic taken extra for that, but I WAS THAT BAD in the morning my lovely hubby didn't notice as he thought I was asleep, my eyes fluttered, and managed to get a grunt out, he managed to get 20 mg down me. he said it was looking like injection time, okay later in hour or so, but felt off most of the day. Any on-else have this happen and know why too.take care friends

When I am low on cortisone I am tired, nauseated , achey, and have a bellyache. Nothing like what you describe.
