Hi, I'm having a difficult time right now getting my fluid volume up. I'm retaining fluid but having chest pain, I went into pre crisis and bumped up my Florinef and Cortef the cortisol side of things got better but I'm still having chest pain from the fluid volume being low, the weird thing is I retain fluid from female horm imbalance and prob some from Cortef but it's not going in the right place. I'm on Florinef .1 mg every morning, my bp was 90/50 now it's around 100/58, I even got a liter of NS at home from home health nurse still didn't help. Trying to increase salt and fluids but having a hard time I don't want to go to hospital any tips would be greatly appreciated. Has any of u guys taken more then Florinef .1 mg. thanks so much. Darla
Have you seen a cardiologist for the chest pain or does your doctor already know what's causing that? Are you retaining water around your chest area?
How much fluid do you drink in a day now that it's summer? I saw that someone has upped their water intake to about 100 ounces a day to make up for the hot weather. I drink at least one large cup of water about every hour during the day right now. Yes, I'm always running to the bathroom. But I'm definitely hydrated. Even with that I was dizzy and not feeling well yesterday because of other health problems. I'm fine today.
If you feel worse I would go to the hospital or try to see your doctor in the next few days. Good luck.
