Addison's disease (also known as chronic adrenal insufficiency, or hypocortisolism) is a rare endocrine disorder. It is estimated that it affects about 1 to 2 in 100,000 people. It occurs when the adrenal glands, seated above the kidneys, fail to produce enough of the hormone cortisol and, sometimes, the hormone aldosterone
I am brand new to this group.
Due to side effects from hydrocortisone (Cortef) I started searching for a better way and for me, I think I found it.
Rather than have me write it all I want to direct you to the URL where I found the bulk of my information. I truly don't know why doctors are totally missing what seems to me to be a better and more natural treatment with far fewer side effects. I am very fortunate that my doctor is a gynecologist with a subspecialty in hormones. She is also an Integrative Physician meaning that she uses both conventional medicine and natural medicine.
