When I was finally able to go the the doctor after being homebound for several months, he discovered that when I stood, my bp bottomed out. The cure...maddening simple....go home and drink a couple of cups of boullion, eat lots of salt, and double my prednisone for a couple of days. That did the trick. Sure wish I had realized it sooner.
Good luck. You should do fine.
If you are in the hospital record what times you get your medications and when they should be get them again. Going from pre op to surgery to post op sometimes medications get held up. That is also true for pain medications if it is almost time to get your pain medication and they are about to move you as for it before they move you. I have had to wait for a few hours when I went from surgery to floor because it was change of shift and then what was done down stairs didn't make it to up stair.
I recovered once quicker than what they thought I would with really great care at home. I have major sinus surgery. Another surgery the surgery site took a bit longer to completely heel.
