I did have a slight drinking problem for a year about 13 years ago where I would drink about 7 molson ices per night. I gained 30 lbs doing that. Luckily I exercised at Curves 3 days per week for 3 yrs while eating normal and a few beers on weekends so it took every bit of that 3 yrs to lose the 30 lbs.
#1 Comfort eating is fun. I love food!
#8 I quit smoking mj 2 weeks ago and the first week or so I had to use an allergy pill just about every night to fall asleep after tossing and turning insomnia. But now I use my old trick of laying on my back at bedtime. This stimulates the production of our natural sleepy hormone. When I lay on my back I can feel the sleepy feeling getting deeper and deeper. Then the trick is to roll over to my side at the moment just before dozing off. Try it it works!
Thank you so much. Hugs, ~atticus.
Have you ever thought about what else you could do instead of compulsive eating to find the release or comfort? Wonder if thats the right question to ask.
Well I did pull out of the overeating thing. I kept raw pumpkin seeds and dried cranberries at my desk for small snacking and ate large salads for lunches and sipped hot herbal tea to keep me full and satisfied :-)
