Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (AML) Support Group
Acute myelogenous leukemia (AML), also known as acute myeloid leukemia, is a cancer of the myeloid line of blood cells. Patients with AML usually present with symptoms such as fatigue, bleeding, infection, prompting medical attention. An abnormal blood test reading will then result in further testing in a hospital with a hematologist to determine AML.
I've been away for too long, due to tons of situations not related to AML, which I had to and I am having to deal with, but I could't let this day happened without saying THANKS ! to God and to all of you, my dear friends, since today is my second anniversary. Around this day my onco told me I was in complete remission after induction round, and this day I was dismissed from the hospital after a terrible, terrible sepsis that came during induction. I almost die there, with a toxic megacolon.... but God wants me here !
Though I have to deal with strong post traumatic problems, I am fine an happy.
I want to share my joy and give hope to anyone that reads this post. Im sorry that I dont come as often as I should and want, but remembering still hurts a lot....

I am so happy to see your post. You give us all hope. Every times someone signs on to this board with an update, we have hope.

So glad to hear from my inversion 16 brother. I am glad to hear your recovery is going well. I just finished my fourth and final consolidation after being diagnosed in March. I have been in remission since April 26th.

Glad your done. Really is good to say your done with treatment. It is all downhill from here. I'm at 16 months and you will be at two years in no time. I pray for your continued health.
