Acute myelogenous leukemia (AML), also known as acute myeloid leukemia, is a cancer of the myeloid line of blood cells. Patients with AML usually present with symptoms such as fatigue, bleeding, infection, prompting medical attention. An abnormal blood test reading will then result in further testing in a hospital with a hematologist to determine AML.

I'd like to hear from anyone whose had sceloric skin isssues and tightening of the joints during their cGVHD experiences.
In my case, I got hardened skin on my shins and discolored skin in various places. Of greater concern was a tightening of my wrists and hands. It got to the point where if they got any stiffer, it would have been a disability.
Now, through stretching and the meds, it is much improved and the range of motion is much better.
I am on 20 m of Prdnisone, down from 60. Also 1.5 of Tacrolimus.
I haven't noticed any active GVHD in months.
My question is: Is it oover? When it is over, does some wrist and hand stiffness always stay with you? I get seem to find anything on the net that describes this and any experiences you can share, or references about this you can point me to will be appreciated.

I have wanted to reply to your questions for a few days now. I haven't, because I want to review the literature on the scleroderma-like manifestations of GVHD. I will give you a review when I am done. From what I can see, however, there are treatments that are effective, most of which do not seem to have a downside. Nevertheless, I just wanted you to know that an answer is forthcoming. I just don't want to be speaking out of both sides of my mouth at the same time. That would even be worse than a wrong answer.
