Acute myelogenous leukemia (AML), also known as acute myeloid leukemia, is a cancer of the myeloid line of blood cells. Patients with AML usually present with symptoms such as fatigue, bleeding, infection, prompting medical attention. An abnormal blood test reading will then result in further testing in a hospital with a hematologist to determine AML.

Huge congrats on one year in remission! !!! Please never minamize such a milestone. Everyday in remission is one day closer to cure. I remember my one year and it seems like yesterday. And now I'm 30 months and 10 days from first remission and yes I'm counting. You have every reason to celebrate and to be optimistic.
