Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (AML) Support Group
Acute myelogenous leukemia (AML), also known as acute myeloid leukemia, is a cancer of the myeloid line of blood cells. Patients with AML usually present with symptoms such as fatigue, bleeding, infection, prompting medical attention. An abnormal blood test reading will then result in further testing in a hospital with a hematologist to determine AML.

Thanks -- dave
After my final chemo in Nov I was deemed in complete genetic remission and waited three months for my platelets to break 100. I sit at 120 with labs next week. My med team says they would rather see slow count recovery than counts that come back too soon and potential showing lowered affect on the marrow.
Cajun girls sister Jo also had inversion 16, is also being treated at mda and went over 80 between sessions. As Dave said, all experiences are different and unique. I mn praying that I remain in remission and that this recover soon. How high do they have to get et for chemo?
