Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (AML) Support Group
Acute myelogenous leukemia (AML), also known as acute myeloid leukemia, is a cancer of the myeloid line of blood cells. Patients with AML usually present with symptoms such as fatigue, bleeding, infection, prompting medical attention. An abnormal blood test reading will then result in further testing in a hospital with a hematologist to determine AML.

I am glad to hear the doctors have an explanation for the drop of the appropriately named wretched platelets. I have a love/hate relationship with mine. It is reassuring to hear that this cycle is common although still unnerving. Please know I continue to to pray daily for you and Keir.

The fact that Keir is doing so well gives everyone hope. It sounds like he is really doing as well as anyone might be expected to do - even with the textbook "sixty day slump." Your stress and weariness with all of this are real, though, and I hope you are taking good care of yourself.
