Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (AML) Support Group
Acute myelogenous leukemia (AML), also known as acute myeloid leukemia, is a cancer of the myeloid line of blood cells. Patients with AML usually present with symptoms such as fatigue, bleeding, infection, prompting medical attention. An abnormal blood test reading will then result in further testing in a hospital with a hematologist to determine AML.
I am so so sorry to read this sad news. You certainly have my continued prayers. I'm specifically praying that almighty God grant you the peace only HE can provide. The peace that passes all understanding.
I'm grateful you can continue to work and have your loving puppies. Pets are such a comfort and I am convinced they sense our sorrow and anxiety.
Praying for you

My heart is heavy. I am so incredibly sorry for your loss. I, too, lost a loved one to this dreaded disease and feel your pain. I hope you are able to find strands of comfort knowing that your dear husband is no longer suffering and is happy and whole again. You are not alone in your grief. Wishing you peace and strength during this time. xo
I am so sorry for your loss.
Hugs

I am so very very sorry to hear about his passing. As Julie says, I also will be praying for your strength and peace that only God can provide.

My heart breaks for you! I was in your shoes 18 months ago when I lost my Ronnie to AML! I felt numb and really don't remember much that happened during those first few months after he died! I went to counseling as did our 12 year old daughter! Our counselor recommended we get a dog, a goldendoodle! I teach third grade and working helps, but as you said, the nights are horrid! I spend lots of time talking to God and hugging my dog! It's awful! As time moves on, it gets easier and you get used to missing him. My daughter and I both went to counseling and our counselors recommended a cruise which really helped! The best help for me was and is my dear friends who stuck by my side! If you have some good friends, talk to them. It helps! I live in Virginia which is far from Lousianna, but we could be phone friends! I would love to know your story! My number is 276-628-4856!
