Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (AML) Support Group
Acute myelogenous leukemia (AML), also known as acute myeloid leukemia, is a cancer of the myeloid line of blood cells. Patients with AML usually present with symptoms such as fatigue, bleeding, infection, prompting medical attention. An abnormal blood test reading will then result in further testing in a hospital with a hematologist to determine AML.
I am sure that Jimmy is far enough out with his BMT that he is not going to be affected by the construction. He might be coming down with a cold (they still do happen at this time of year), or perhaps he is just anxious. He could not have developed something from any infectious agent that quickly. Tell him to relax and enjoy the bathroom.
After my transplant, my doctor would not let me go home, because we had had two huge floods in our basement (due to just about every drainage problem you could imagine) and the basement smelled from mold and mildew. I literally lived with my daughter for about a year! I felt so sorry for her, but could not really supervise any reconditioning of the basement as a new BMT recipient. She was so tolerant (especially since she was in medical school and had enough on her plate). The difference between Jimmy and me is that I was a fresh transplant, and he is not.
I know Jimmy won't do it, but if he would like, please have him message me and I will try to help him get through the anxiety.
I am glad you got your bathroom done.
Cliff
Cliff, we had mold and Keir and I are STILL living at my parents' home 2 years out while ours is undergoing a very very slow renovation. But that is due to the speed of renovation and not Keir's bmt!
