Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (AML) Support Group

Acute myelogenous leukemia (AML), also known as acute myeloid leukemia, is a cancer of the myeloid line of blood cells. Patients with AML usually present with symptoms such as fatigue, bleeding, infection, prompting medical attention. An abnormal blood test reading will then result in further testing in a hospital with a hematologist to determine AML.

So my Drs are giving me Mitoxantrone 5 days over 30 min
And Etoposide 5 days over an hour. Anyone else had these? Better or worse than cytatabine?

Tony had mitoxantrone w cytarabine, they're using Etoposide bc cytarabine did not sustain a remission
Eyoposide is very strong stuff, it's also used in transplant conditioning regimens.
I'm praying for a second remission Tammy

I also belong to the lymphoma leukemia society support group broads. There seem to be many more SCT survivors on that site, sine over 10 years out. I searched for your two chemo and came up with the results below. How this helps.
