Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (AML) Support Group
Acute myelogenous leukemia (AML), also known as acute myeloid leukemia, is a cancer of the myeloid line of blood cells. Patients with AML usually present with symptoms such as fatigue, bleeding, infection, prompting medical attention. An abnormal blood test reading will then result in further testing in a hospital with a hematologist to determine AML.

I just want to congratulate the BMT jocks among us -- Tony from the Class of '14 and Jimmy from the Class of '13 (or was it '12)? Just goes to show everyone of us that AML cannot deprive us of our passions. These guys are role models. Just because we've done well with our transplants does not mean that we should not eat healthful diets, EXERCISE, have regular checkups and do all the things that mere mortals (those who have not gone through the AML test of mettle) do to stay healthy.
As a Jew, I am preparing for the upcoming New Year and Day of Atonement. I will pray for all of us and atone for all the times that I said "why me??!!"
In memory of those who we have lost, always remember that not a single one of those souls died in vain, because their spirits have instilled in us the will to fight. Make sure that you all join the survivors' walks in your home towns. Mine is coming up soon and you can be sure that I will be there holding my white lantern high.
